Coronation Street's Amy Barlow is to experience a day trip disaster when she goes missing in Blackpool while on a visit to the seaside town with her warring parents Steve McDonald and Tracy Barlow.

Estranged couple Steve McDonald and Tracy Barlow - played by Simon Gregson and Kate Ford - will treat the adorable tot to a day out at the beachside destination, but their dreams of a weekend of fun will be scuppered when Amy (Elle Mulvaney) vanishes while playing in the resort's arcades.

After sneaking away from their nosy neighbours in Weatherfield to spend the day together as a family, treacherous Tracy and Steve - who is married to bolshie barmaid Becky McDonald (Katherine Kelly) - will be terrified their youngster has been kidnapped.

While the warring duo are reunited with Amy in a matter of hours, the worst is yet to come when they realise their car has been towed away in the process.

However, when they accept they will have to spend the night in the bright lights of Blackpool, feisty femme fatale Tracy seizes the perfect opportunity to try it on with Steve.

A 'Corrie' insider told the Daily Star newspaper: "Steve's left seriously sweating. He's life to Becky about where he is and then he has to spend the night with Tracy, who tries to get him in her bed,

"If Becky finds out, there will be hell to pay."
