Antony Costa admits he was over the moon to meet a 'Casualty' actor.

The former Blue singer - who got back together with bandmates Simon Webbe, Lee Ryan and Duncan James - said he got some great acting advice from Derek Thompson, who plays Charlie Fairhead.

He said: "I'm a massive fan of the show, and got a bit star-struck when I met Derek Thompson. He was great fun to work with, and because he's been in the series forever, he really helped me out.

But everyone was lovely - it was such a nice place to work.

Antony had only praise for the 61-year-old British actor who has starred in the BBC medical drama since 1986 and is the only remaining original cast member still on the show today.

He was also pleased to be getting back into TV rather than singing.

He told Inside Soap magazine: "I started out with a few bit parts in TV when I was younger, so it's nice to come back to it. Even sitting and having my brekkie on the bus with the other cast and crew members was exciting. I loved the whole experience."
