Peter Barlow is getting married in a new 'Coronation Street' storyline.

The bookmaker is left stunned after girlfriend Leanne Battersby proposes to him in front of all the regulars in the Rovers Return pub.

Leanne (Jane Danson) gets down on one knee and presents Peter with a ring and tells him she wants to be his wife.

It's a really romantic scene. She proposes in front of everyone and Peter is thrilled.

Leanne's decision to propose comes after she accuses alcoholic Peter (Chris Gascoyne) of having an affair with ex-lover Michelle Connor, before realising she is wrong.

Peter previously committed bigamy by marrying ex-Rovers Return landlady Shelley Unwin even though he was already wed to Lucy Richards.
