Jane Danson used to have a crush on her husband when she was just a schoolgirl.

The 'Coronation Street' actress admits she fancied Robert Beck when he appeared in 'Brookside' and even had a sticker of him on her pencil case.

Jane - who plays Leanne Battersby in the ITV soap - told Reveal magazine: "It's so embarrassing to admit, but my husband was my celebrity crush. He was in Brookside when I was at school, and I had a sticker of him on my pencil case.

But there was no way I could keep it from him

"I thought he was gorgeous, even though he was 10 years older than me. Years later, when we met for the first time, I was biting my tongue the whole time. I kept thinking, 'Don't mention the sticker!'. But there was no way I could keep it from him."

As well as 'Brookside', Robert has also appeared in 'Coronation Street' and 'Emmerdale'.

The couple - who married in December 2005 - have two young sons together, Harry and Sam.
