'Coronation Street's Lloyd Mullaney gets punched in the face by Teresa Bryant.
The hapless taxi driver finds himself on the wrong end of Teresa's fist when a fight breaks out between her and his ex-lover Liz McDonald, following his night of passion with Teresa.
Craig Charles, who plays Lloyd, explained: "Liz goes ballistic! There's a massive catfight between her and Teresa, and when Teresa throws a punch, it misses Liz and Lloyd gets it right in the nose!
But then Teresa's son Darryl pushes him over
"The poor guy tries to break up the brawl. But then Teresa's son Darryl pushes him over. Lloyd ends up lying on the cobbles, bleeding and saying to Liz, 'I suppose you didn't want to talk about it?' "
Lloyd is desperate to make it up to Liz (Beverley Callard), who had been about to give their romance another chance.
Craig revealed: "He takes her a big bunch of flowers, which is quite an emotional scene. He cries a bit and tells her she's the only one for him, that she's the missing thing in his life. But Liz is having none of it, so Lloyd has to accept it's over."
