Lacey Turner's mum looks after all her awards because she's worried the actress won't keep them clean.

The 'EastEnders' star - who plays troubled Stacey Slater in the BBC soap - has won numerous accolades for her performances but admits she rarely gets to keep her gongs.

Talking about her Inside Soap Award for Best Actress, which she won for the fourth year in a row, Lacey said: "It's nice to know the viewers appreciate all the work that you're doing.

It's such a good opportunity

"I think my mum will take this one, but what she does with them, I don't know. She thinks I won't keep them clean."

Lacey also revealed she felt "honoured" to have been given her current storyline, which sees Stacey suffering from bipolar.

She said: "My best moment this year has been the bipolar storyline. I'm really honoured that they trusted me with such a big event, but petrified me at the same time. It's such a good opportunity."
