Sally Oliver says she felt the time was right to leave 'Emmerdale'.
The actress' final scenes were shown these week when her alter-ego Lexi King walked out on husband Carl (Tom Lister) after a dramatic rooftop showdown in which it was revealed he never truly loved her and while she's sad to be moving on, Sally realised the character's run had come to an end.
Tom and I have had so many scenes together
She said: "I am going to miss everyone loads but particularly my on-screen family - Beth Crossley, Nicola Wheeler and Nick Miles and especially Tom. Tom and I have had so many scenes together. He's such a talented, kind and thoughtful man, and I'm going to miss him loads.
"I've loved every minute of playing Lexi but just felt the time was right for her to move on."
Sally admitted her final scenes were very emotional because she is so close to the cast.
She told Digital Spy: "It was very emotional filming my last scenes due to the nature of the storyline, but also because I knew that I was leaving. I know everyone always says it about 'Emmerdale', but that's probably because it is true - everyone gets on fantastically and just wants each other to do well.
