'Hollyoak's Archie Carpenter is thrilled when he finds £100,000.

The student moves into a flat with friends Zak Ramsey, Kris Fletcher and Elliot Bevin, and just as the pals are worrying about paying the rent, he makes his shocking discovery.

Stephen Beard, who plays Archie in the Channel 4 soap, said: "Archie finds a box in the loft which he hopes will have beer in it. He's stunned when he opens it and sees it's stuffed full of cash. Obviously the lads are over the moon, and sit down and count it. That's when they realise there's £100,000 - they're ecstatic.

Archie's big discovery comes after he thrills the other housemates by managing to convince Zac's girlfriend Michaela not to move in with them.

However, it seems the money could be more of a blessing than a curse - the flat the foursome have rented used to belong to evil Warren Fox.
