Hollie-Jay Bowes wants James Sutton to return to 'Hollyoaks'.

The actress - who plays aspiring journalist Michaela McQueen in the soap - says she misses working with the actor, who played her on-screen brother John Paul, but is delighted he has found success in rival soap 'Emmerdale'.

She said: "I miss James lots and I'd like him to be back here at 'Hollyoaks'. He was like a real brother to me.

I knew he wouldn't have to wait long to get another job because he's brilliant

"But I'm so happy he got the part in 'Emmerdale'. I knew he wouldn't have to wait long to get another job because he's brilliant."

The 20-year-old star also hopes bosses will give her more scenes with Diane Langton, who plays Nana McQueen.

She told Britain's Inside Soap magazine: "I love Diane to pieces and want her to be in 'Hollyoaks' more. Diane was in the 'Carry On' films and she's done musicals too. I really look up to her. She's very funny as well. The first time we met, she asked me if her boobs looked good in the top she was wearing."
