Kevin Sacre's 'Hollyoaks' Excitement

Kevin Sacre can't wait to return to 'Hollyoaks'.

The actor says he's looking forward to reprising his role as Jake Dean in the Channel 4 soap - who is about to be released from prison after pleading guilty to a murder he didn't commit - as it is a challenging part.

He said: "I'm going back to 'Hollyoaks' but I can't tell you what's going to happen.

"I always said I'd go back but I was never sure when that would happen. Jake's a great character, I love playing him. The show is kind of known for good-looking guys so it was nice to play a character who's got a bit of an edge.

"This sounds almost big-headed but when people meet me they say, 'Oh you're good-looking in real life' which is the biggest compliment because in my eyes Jake isn't a very good-looking character."

Kevin - who is engaged to 'Strictly Come Dancing' star Camilla Dallerup - also revealed he would like to become a director in the future.

He told Britain's Soaplife magazine: "I went into acting because I love films. I'll watch anything. I'm also one of those annoying actors who wants to be a director."
