James Corden came up with a new TV show idea whilst talking to David Beckham in the bath.
The funnyman teamed up with the soccer star to record a comedy sketch for Sports Relief tonight (19.03.10) - where James pretends to be his 'Gavin and Stacey' character Smithy and bonds with the sportsman in the tub - and enjoyed the scene so much he might turn it into a regular programme.
He said: "Becks and I were both in little trunks. There was a surreal moment when we were both in the bath and they had to move the cameras for another shot.
David is more of a thinking man's actor. He's like a Johnny Depp. David can find the comedy and the serious.
"We were just talking about football as if it was the most normal thing in the world. I suddenly thought to myself that this might be a good idea for a chat show. Just being in the bath with different guests every week, relaxed and having a little chat. It was a very pleasant experience."
The comic star has worked with a host of celebrities and sports stars for his 15-minute long skit tonight.
James was particularly impressed with David's acting skills and has even compared him to screen legend Johnny Depp.
He added to the Sun newspaper: "David is more of a thinking man's actor. He's like a Johnny Depp. David can find the comedy and the serious."
