Nancy Hayton will wrongly accuse ex-lover Jake Dean of kidnapping nephew Charlie in 'Hollyoaks'.

The student, played by Jessica Fox, hasn't been handling the reappearance of Jake (Kevin Sacre) in the village after his confinement to a psychiatric ward.

Jessica explained: "Nancy immediately lays the blame at Jake's door. She hasn't been coping well with his reappearance in the village, and it causes her to fly off the handle. You can imagine how she feels when Charlie is lost."

Charlie's disappearance comes as Nancy's relationship with Hannah (Emma Rigby) reaches breaking point over Hannah's decision to write to Jake while he was in hospital.

Nancy doesn't realise flatmate Loretta (Melissa Walton) sent most of the letters and has been with Jake until the situation with Charlie, who is eventually found sleeping in Ricky's shack, forces Loretta to reveal what she did.

Jessica said: "Loretta has to admit that Jake was with her at the time Charlie went missing - and of course, Nancy's furious. Nancy tells her she wants nothing more to do with her, and throws Loretta out of the flat.

I think it's very odd that Loretta seems suddenly very involved with Jake - she's obviously got a past that I'm sure will be explored further."
