Kara Tointon is "shocked" her boyfriend thinks she'd be a good stepmother.

The former 'EastEnders' star said she was flattered by boyfriend Joe Swash's compliments about her abilities with his two-year-old son Harry, but wasn't sure she was immediate stepmother material.

Kara, 26, told Bang! Showbiz: "The only experience I've had is being on set with the babies playing my babies on 'EastEnders' so I don't know how I'd be but it's nice he says that.

"I'm always quite shocked by the things he says, which probably sounds quite cheesy but it's always nice when your boyfriend says nice things."

Ex-'EastEnders' actor Joe, 27, recently said: "She is great with Harry. I've always known she'd be a great mum, as she looked after the kids on 'EastEnders'."

Kara and Joe have been together for a year after meeting together on the set of the soap, where Kara played Joe's on-screen sister.

Joe is currently out in Australia filming "I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here Now!" but the couple will soon be reunited when they star as Snow White and Prince Charming in the Bristol Hippodrome's Christmas pantomime.
