Best Actress Lacey Turner

Lacey Turner was named Best Actress for the fourth year running at last night's Inside Soap Awards (28.09.09).

The 21-year-old star - who plays troubled Stacey Slater in the BBC soap - picked up the accolade at the star-studded bash at exclusive London nightspot Sketch.

Her former co-star Lauren Crace - who played Stacey's friend Danielle Jones - admitted she was thrilled for Lacey.

She told BANG Showbiz: "Yeah, Lacey's won again! But she's amazing - she's an unbelievable actress. She's been there since she was 16 years old and she gets such tough storylines for someone so young, and she smashes them every single time and she deserves it she's amazing.

"I'm gonna go party now, enjoy myself, have a few drinks - a nice reward for all our hard work."

Lauren was also thrilled when the death of Danielle, following the shock revelation she was Ronnie Mitchell's daughter, was named Best Storyline.

Larry Lamb was given the Best Bad Boy award for his role as scheming Archie Mitchell, who constructed a web of lies to keep his daughter Ronnie from knowing she was the mother of Danielle.

'EastEnders' was named Best Soap and the show's Charlie Brooks (Janine Butcher) and John Partridge (Christian Clarke) were named Best B***h and Sexiest Male respectively.

'Coronation Street' beauty Michelle Keegan, who plays Tina McIntyre, was named Sexiest Female while her co-star Alex Bain (Simon Barlow) won the accolade for Best Young Actor.

Other winners at the awards included Maggie Jones, who won Funniest Performance for her role as Blanche Hunt in 'Coronation Street', while The McQueens in 'Hollyoaks' were named Best Family.
