'EastEnders' actor Larry Lamb claims none of the 'EastEnders' cast know who killed his character Archie Mitchell.

Archie was killed off on Christmas Day (25.12.09) and although many of the residents of Walford have a motive for murder, the stars are just as much in the dark as viewers.

Larry, 62, said: "I definitely don't know who murders Archie and neither do I want to.

I feel quite sad about it but that's the life of an actor. You play these people, they live and they die. You move on.

"Actually, I don't know if anybody knows who did it yet. It's possible the actor playing the guilty character may not know at this moment."

Larry - whose character teamed up with Janine Butcher to take over the Queen Vic pub from Albert Square stalwart Peggy Mitchell - is "sad" to leave the soap but accepts that is the life of an actor.

He added: "I feel quite sad about it but that's the life of an actor. You play these people, they live and they die. You move on."

The big reveal as to who killed Archie is set for the show's 25th anniversary on February 19, when a live show will be screened.
