Lauren Crace felt honoured to work with Samantha Womack in 'EastEnders'.
The actress - who played Danielle Jones in the BBC soap before her alter-ego was tragically killed off - worked alongside Samantha (Danielle's mum Ronnie Mitchell) and enjoyed every moment of their time together.
She said: "Samantha is a fabulous actress. We spent a lot of time together trying to make Ronnie and Danielle's connection believable, and it was a real honour to work with her."
All of the shows work their socks off, so to produce storylines of that calibre is amazing.
Lauren was thrilled when Danielle's death was named Best Storyline at this year's Inside Soap Awards and insists it was well-deserved.
She said: "I was so surprised, but really chuffed that we'd won something for this storyline. People really did take Danielle into their hearts.
"All of the shows work their socks off, so to produce storylines of that calibre is amazing. All of the other nominees totally deserved the prize, too, but obviously I'm glad 'EastEnders' won it!"
