'Emmerdale's Mark Wylde tries to bed his first wife, Faye, but ends up back in Natasha's arms.
The soap bigamist is presently torn between the wife he left years ago and his present spouse, but while jealousy drives him back to Faye Lamb (Kim Thompson), she is not prepared to let him be with both of them.
Maxwell Caulfield, who plays Mark, said: "He's in turmoil. The problem is he loves both women.
After months of no intimacy between him and Natasha and himself, it's clear she wants to get their relationship back on track
"However, a gulf has opened up between Natasha and himself - which is inevitable considering what's happened - and the romantic side of their marriage has been dented.
"This makes it easier for Mark to envisage being with Faye instead."
Faye tells him to end his marriage to Natasha (Amanda Donohoe), but as he goes to tell her, however, she makes it clear she wants to spice up their relationship, leaving Mark confused.
Maxwell continued: "I'm constantly smacking my hand against my forehead and going, 'Oh no, you bozo!'
"After months of no intimacy between him and Natasha and himself, it's clear she wants to get their relationship back on track. He lies to Faye about sleeping with Natasha. It's such a mess."
