Noel Gallagher keeps turning down roles on 'Coronation Street'.
The former Oasis frontman has revealed he and partner Sara MacDonald - with who he has two-year-old son Donovan - are addicted to the ITV1 soap set in his hometown, Manchester, and producers are keen to sign him up to appear.
Sara and I are obsessed with 'Coronation Street'. I've been asked to appear loads of times but I've always turned it down.
He said: "Sara and I are obsessed with 'Coronation Street'. I've been asked to appear loads of times but I've always turned it down."
The singer previously said he had an idea for a cameo he could play in the show, based in the fictional Weatherfield, Manchester, so he could beat up Jack P. Shepherd's bad boy character David Platt.
Jack said: "When Noel was asked on the radio what he'd like to do if he was in the show he said he said he's like to punch that David Platt fella!
"I love his music - Oasis are good. But it might be a little bit weird if he turned up on the cobbles. The audience would be wondering 'what's Noel Gallagher doing in Weatherfield?' "
