Roxanne Pallett's soap return

Former 'Emmerdale' actress Roxanne Pallet admits she would love to move onto a rival soap.

Roxanne Pallett wants to be a soap star again.

The former 'Emmerdale' actress - who used to play pretty Jo Sugden in the rural show - admits she would love to move over to a rival soap.

She said: "Would I consider another soap? It all depends on the character. I love 'Corrie', 'EastEnders' and 'Hollyoaks' but I'd like to play someone completely different to Jo. The character is everything."

While 'Emmerdale' isn't on her agenda right now, Roxanne would consider making a return one day if she was happy she had proved herself as an actress.

She said: "Oh, you know, I said when I left that I wouldn't go back until I'd earned my acting stripes. I don't feel I have yet."

However, the 27-year-old actress admits she still keep track of the storylines in 'Emmerdale'.

She explained: "When a mate is involved in a gripping storyline, I do. I watched when Suzanne Shaw arrived in the village. Suzanne and I worked together on 'Dancing On Ice' and became good friends. I also try to tune in when I know Charlotte Bellamy is involved in someone big. She's such a brilliant actress."
