Ronnie Mitchell is set to bed Owen Turner in 'EastEnders'.

The blonde businesswoman - who is currently dating her childhood boyfriend Joel Reynolds - is charmed by the Walford bad boy when he returns after spending three years in prison for trying to murder his daughter Libby.

Although all the residents in Albert Square are furious at his return, Ronnie (Samantha Womack) offers Owen (Lee Ross) a job, much to her family's anger.

A set source said: "This isn't a relationship that will end happily.

"Two obsessives together is a recipe for disaster."

Ronnie has been desperate for a baby ever since her long-lost daughter Danielle died moments after they were reunited.

Her baby obsession was the cause of her break-up from Jack Branning after he caught her piercing holes in condoms, and she is keen to start a family with Joel - Danielle's father - but he isn't keen.
