Sheree Murphy is to star in 'Hollyoaks'.
The 34-year-old actress - who played barmaid Tricia Dingle for six years in 'Emmerdale' - has signed up to play Tania Verani, the long-lost mother of Anita Roy (Saira Choudhry), in the Channel 4 soap.
A source said: "Bosses have been trying to sign her up for a while now - but she's always putting her family first. But after years out of acting she wants to give it another go.
Sheree has started filming scenes and was very nervous being on set again, but she's a professional and has taken to 'Hollyoaks' like a duck to water. She's loving it - and everyone loves having her on the team.

Last year, Anita was stunned to learn from her older brother Ash (Junade Khan) that she was adopted, and initially rejected the family she had grown up with.
Sheree quit 'Emmerdale' in 2004 to spend more time with her husband, footballer Harry Kewell and their two children, Taylor, eight, and six-year-old Ruby.
She then appeared in the 2005 series of 'I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!' and in 2008, she gave birth to the couple's third child, Matilda.
