Sian Reeves says her character in Emmerdale is "bonkers".
The 'Emmerdale' actress plays Sally Spode in the soap, whose upcoming antics see her set fire to a church, in order to trap love rival Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) inside as she tries to rekindle her teenage romance with Laurel's vicar husband Ashley (John Middleton).
Sian explained: "She's actually bonkers. This week will give viewers a really good idea about what lengths she'll go to in a bid to replace Laurel. Sally just wants her life. Sally doesn't understand consequences because she lives in her own little world.
"I don't think she means to do what she does in starting the fire - she just gets so furious with Laurel being 'in the way' that she traps her in the church and causes the blaze. I think she thought that the grass was greener when she dumped Ashley all those years ago.
"Now she's trying to claw back what she could have had."
Sian, 44, has previously warned that said Sally could even be capable of murder.
Sian added to website Digitalspy: "She knows no bounds. There's no limit - she's not living in the real world. I've tried to make her seem really sane and nice, though.
"She's very depressed and lonely, but she puts on this brilliant act. You wouldn't want to meet her - you wouldn't want her in your life."
