Rosie Webster will support her sister Sophie when she starts a lesbian romance in 'Coronation Street'.
The siblings - who are best known for their screen fighting and bickering - will grow surprisingly close when the youngster, played by 17-year-old Brooke Vincent, starts dating her friend Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson).
Brooke said: "The story's quite cleverly done. It's going to be implicit, not explicit, and we want that to come across. It's emotional and more about the feelings.
"You'll be surprised at how Rosie reacts. She will stand by Sophie. When you love your sister, you support her."
They've given it to her because she's amazing. She's a scene stealer.
Brooke - who has played Sophie in the soap for the last six years - is pleased to get such a high-profile storyline.
She said: "It's such an honour to get a story like this at my young age."
Helen Flanagan - who plays Rosie - is also in high praise of her screen sister.
She quipped to The Sun newspaper: "They've given it to her because she's amazing. She's a scene stealer."
Discussing the intimate details of the kissing scene with Sacha, Brooke claims it was easy because the two actresses have been pals for years.
She said: "Sacha and I were friends long before Corrie and I'm so glad it's her.
"We've been at drama school together and known each other since we were six or seven. She is one of my best friends, which means we've got each other and we're not doing it alone."
