Stephanie Davis is delighted she was offered a role in 'Hollyoaks' as it has always been her favourite TV show.

Stephanie Davis is "loving every minute" of her new 'Hollyoaks' role.

My on-screen family are fantastic and I'm loving every minute of it.

The 17-year-old former 'Over The Rainbow' contestant - who recently joined the Chester-based soap to play 15-year-old Sinead O'Connor - thinks she made the right decision in turning down roles in stage shows 'Blood Brothers' and 'Flashdance' on London's West End.

She told the Liverpool Echo newspaper: "I love the West End but I've always wanted to be in 'Hollyoaks'. When I was doing my GCSEs I would rather watch 'Hollyoaks' than revise. I just wanted to act.

"Staying close to home is a bonus. I love Liverpool and everything happens for a reason.

"My on-screen family are fantastic and I'm loving every minute of it."

Stephanie's character will first appear on screen at the end of August, along with her brother Finn, played by Connor Wilkinson, father Rob (Gary Cargill) - who is deputy headmaster at Hollyoaks High school - and stepmother Diane, who is portrayed by former 'Brookside' actress Alex Fletcher.
