Eastenders: Pauline Confronts Sonia About Chloe

Pauline gives Sonia an expensive jacket for her 20th birthday. She apologises for the rows that they've had lately. She explains that she only over-reacts because she cares.

Pauline admits to Sonia that she visited Chloe. Sonia's furious that she rooted through her things to find Margaret's address. Pauline snaps that she wouldn't have had to, if Sonia hadn't kept secrets. She complains that Margaret has more rights to Chloe than she has. Struggling to keep calm, Sonia informs her that she gave away their rights when she signed the adoption papers.

Pauline goes on to describe how she fell in love with Chloe the minute that she saw her. Sonia admits that she felt the same.

Pauline doubting that Sonia knows what love is, accuses her of being cold. Sonia screams that the last time she was true to her feelings about Chloe, she nearly lost her mind, Pauline has no idea how hard it was for her to give up her child. Sonia maintains that she's a good mother because she did what was best for Chloe, at her own expense. Pauline can't know what she'd have done, if she'd found herself pregnant at 15.

Pauline retorts by calling Sonia a coward, and reminds her that Sonia's own mother was a single mum,and she didn't give up her children. Sonia reckons it takes courage to let your child go.

Pauline announces that she's going to continue seeing Chloe, regardless of Sonia's feelings. Sonia sobs about the pain of thinking about Chloe, and begs Pauline to give her peace,seeing Sonia's weakness, Pauline softens her approach and persuades her that Chloe needs her, and that she must let her back into her life.

Defeated, Sonia sinks into Pauline's arms.

Dots Hits The Road

Dot's nervous about getting back behind the wheel. Jane's laid-back attitude puts her at her ease and Dot does her first circuit of the Square in Ians car.

Jane's so pleased with Dot's progress that she decides to take her out of the Square, feeling confident, Dot insists that she'll drive them but panics when thunder strikes.

Dot's lost faith in herself. Jane boosts her confidence and advises her to take things one step at a time, Dot decides to take professional driving lessons.

Tina and Ruby's day out is cancelled when Ruby sprains her ankle. Tina gives her first aid. She reveals that she brought up her little brother and sister, while her mum was ill.

Tina reveals to Ruby that her dad died when she was 16. Her mum didn't cope well, leaving her to keep the family afloat. She worked in a supermarket before becoming a nightclub singer.

Tina assures Ruby that she'll never come between her and Johnny. Ruby admits that their relationship isn't that strong. Since the death of her mum and Scarlet, he's shut her out.

Ruby opens up about the rejection that she feels. Tina went through the same thing with her mum. She believes that things won't go back to the way they were, but they will improve in time.

Alfie asks Little Mo to say yes to them being a couple. Pauline plays Martin and Sonia against each other.
