Sharon Mitchell has the future of the Beale family lay firmly in her hands after another huge shock cliffhanger at the end of EastEnders on Tuesday night (August 18).

Taking centre stage with a storyline that was kept tightly underwraps, Sharon stumbled across a video message from Cindy Williams which confirmed Bobby to be Lucy's killer - something Jane has now admitted to be true.

Seeking answers about Cindy's claims in the episode, Jane had a great opportunity to talk her way out of the mess when Sharon said she thought Cindy's message was just a sick joke, but the overwhelming guilt surrounding the cover-up ruined things entirely.

Sharon continued to ask questions, and Jane began to reveal a little too much before allowing her close friend to discover that Bobby really did bring his half-sister's life to an end.

Now the big question is whether or not Sharon will join the cover-up and keep things secret, knowing that Max Branning is currently awaiting trial after being wrongly accused of murdering Lucy.

The dilemma Sharon faces will be explored in Thursday (August 20) and Friday's (August 21) episodes, but that won't be the only thing on her mind, as she believes husband Phil is having an affair, seeing mysterious texts to someone named only 'K' on his phone.
