Nick Cotton is back and ready to cause trouble once more for his family on Albert Square.

We've got our hands on some first look pictures of Nick's return, and when Ronnie and Charlie decide to visit Dot, they're horrified to find her son sitting at her kitchen table.

Trying to get rid of his father, Nick gives the pair an ultimatum, but will the two be willing to cave in so Dot doesn't find out the truth about her boy she thought had died?

John Altman who plays Nick has recently revealed to RadioTimes.com at the Inside Soap Awards, that he "wouldn't like to see Nick change.

"He's a bit too long in the tooth now to change. It's good to back - when you've not been on the set for five years, it does take a week or so to get back into the energy of it. But I'm back on the rails now, so to speak."

Show boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins has also promised that the soap's original bad lad is going to be "causing more trouble for his Ma".

Speaking back in August about his comeback, John commented: "After a five-year break I'm very pleased and much looking forward to returning to EastEnders. With the promise of some hard hitting and gritty storylines I'm sure the residents of Albert Square will be none too pleased to see Nick Cotton back on the streets of Walford.

"I'm also looking forward to working alongside Declan Bennett and Pauline McLynn. And of course being reunited and working once again with my 'dear old Ma', the wonderful June Brown."

These scenes air on BBC One, October 27 and October 28.
