Helen Russell-Clark Loves Whittle Strip

The actress - who plays Gilly Roach's new fiancee Jem - adores working on the Channel 4 soap and especially enjoys watching her hunky colleagues strip off on set.

Discussing her upcoming storylines, Helen explained: "Jem's got some really fun storylines coming up. She's quite a fun character, she's quite happy-go-lucky. She's about to organise another event at the Dog, which is always good. It's a good chance to see Ricky Whittle half naked!"

Helen has also revealed how tensions between her character and Gilly (Anthony Quinlan)'s former love interests Stephanie Cunningham (Carley Stenson) and Cheryl Brady (Bronagh Waugh) will worsen over the next few weeks.

She said: "Basically there's a lot of tension between Gilly and Steph and Cheryl and Jem at the moment and Cheryl and Steph are playing her and Gilly off against each other. So you'll just have to wait and see."

Despite their screen feuds, Helen has admitted her co-stars have been very welcoming and kind to her since she joined the cast.

She explained in a video interview on the 'Hollyoaks' website: "Seriously, everyone is just wonderful. I'm really lucky.

"Carley even put me up in her flat because I was homeless for a week!"
