Home And Away

In this world, every sequel is trumpeted as being even better than the original but no return has been more anti-climatic than that of school bully, Dalby. Though everybody in Summer Bay High is expecting him to kick Robbie's backside into the middle of next week's episode guide, it seems that he's undergone a dramatic shift in attitude. He candidly ignores Robbie and his apology; he won't talk to Wazzock; and though Dan finds some chinks it seems impossible to penetrate the lad's emotional armour.
In the classroom, Dalby continues to baffle his schoolmates and teachers alike by fainting - and he isn't even putting it on. He awakes in the surgery, where he faces an interrogation from our favourite local quack. Why did he go back to school so quickly after being bashed? A satisfactory answer is unforthcoming. But when Flynn threatens his patient with the prospect of being collected by his dad, Dalby reacts so alarmingly that Flynn begins to wonder if Dalby Senior was the culprit behind Dalby's extensive injuries. Later, Flynn finds Dalby on the beach and says that he can talk to either him or Dan at any time. Will the troubled teenager open up? Wednesday 12.30Hear that funny noise? Ah yes. It's silence - which is rather peculiar in Summer Bay - and it's emanating from Osborne and Stafford McRae. A troubled Josie grabs her new best mate and asks if she thinks they're being frozen out. Morag's forked tongue flickers.
