If you've ever wondered what type of a life a soap star leads you're in luck, as Scott McGregor has revealed a glimpse into his life working on Neighbours with this exclusive rundown of a hard day's work and play.

07.30
There goes the alarm.
08.00
After some procrastination, head out for a run around The Tan, a popular running loop near my home, and it’s cold, winter has really set in.
08.45
Shower, breakfast check emails, Facebook, run through today’s scenes – not a massive day so a nice way to finish the week.
10.00
Grab a take-away latte at a near by café, head to the Neighbours set.
11.00

Call time. Head to the dressing room to see what my character is wearing today, quick change, into make-up.

11.30

Hang in the green room until called onto the Harold’s set, catch up with Saskia Hampele and Ariel Kaplan and a quick read through lines. The green room is like a flight deck lounge without the luxuries, a waiting area between scenes. Some days you can be on the go the entire time, other days, you’re waiting, waiting, waiting between scenes. Luckily today moves pretty quickly for me.

11.45
All my scenes today are in Harolds. The first is with Kate Kendall who is great to work with, and our newest cast member Olympia Valance. We also have guest actor Tina Bursill on-set who is an icon in the industry so I’m a little nervous.

12.15
Lunch break.
12.45
Head back to Harolds for more scenes.
13.50
It’s a wrap. Straight into the dressing room to change back into my gear.
14.30

Into ADR (automatic dialogue recording) to re-do some lines from an upcoming scene which may not be sound perfect and catch up with Jason Herbison, Series Producer regarding an upcoming story line – sorry, can’t say too much.

16.15
Grab the scripts for next week, quick farewell to the cast and crew.

17.00
Hit of some golf balls at the driving range – one of my favourite past-times and a great way to unwind. I keep hinting to the writers that my character should take up golf as hobby, now that would be a dream come true to be paid to play golf.
18.30
Back home and the sun is just starting to set so a quick stroll around the Tan with my girlfriend who has just arrived home too before we head out to dinner.
