Emotionally exhausted after the last few weeks, Libby bursts into tears over tea with Steph. Steph is now certain that her best friend is hiding heartache that has nothing to do with Susan's illness but Libby still refuses to talk. An answering machine message from Darren provokes a fit of anger at Karl and she lays into him again for his past infidelity. Bewildered by her behaviour, Karl soon finds himself rushing to his daughter's defence when Darren Stark arrives in town. Libby is clearly not pleased to see him but Darren begs her to give him a chance. Karl tries to break up their argument and it ends in a very public spat. What has Darren done?Susan reluctantly starts to accept life with MS. Buoyed by Karl and Toadie's unconditional love and support, Susan has a breakthrough when her vision begins to return.Thrown by Declan's declaration of love and their sizzling kiss, Bridget walks out of school and straight into Josh. Attempting to prove that she has no feelings for Declan at all, she publicly pashes her new boyfriend and takes him home to meet her parents. Steve initially baulks at the fact that Bridget has a boyfriend but Miranda accuses him of not liking Josh because he's in a wheelchair. Protective Steve suggests that Josh's disability is precisely why Miranda is OK with Didge's new man: she mistakenly thinks he's "safe". Kirsten guilt trips Ned into putting the furniture together at her new flat, insisting it's all for Mickey's benefit. Naïve Ned ends up staying longer than he planned and they reminisce about the good old days in Oakey. Janae is forced to track down her errant boyfriend who was supposed to help her return a car to its elderly owner. Ned takes responsibility for his actions and apologises but Janae accuses Kirsten of trying to sabotage their relationship. She's shocked when Kirsten admits that she does still have feelings for Ned although she promises she has no intention of stealing him.
