Obsessed Lover Mercedes Fisher

'Hollyoaks' Mercedes Fisher has "lost the plot" over Calvin Valentine.

The club owner (Ricky Whittle) starts receiving threats warning him not to marry Carmel McQueen (Gemma Merna) and Jennifer Metcalfe, who plays Mercedes, wouldn't be surprised if her character - who is having an affair with the former policeman - is the one behind the nasty notes.

She said: "Is she sending the messages? Maybe. She's certainly lost the plot. But I never ask too many questions, I don't like to know what's coming next.

"Mercedes can't think rationally about this. Her thing for Calvin is an obsession now. It's about her wanting something she can't have."

Calvin receives a mysterious message asking him to go to a hotel and, believing it will lead him to the identity of his blackmailer, he goes along - only to find a scantily dressed Mercedes waiting for him.

Jennifer added: "Mercedes lures him to a hotel room. Calvin gets a mystery call telling him to go to a particular hotel if he wants to know who's behind the threats.

"He's shocked. but not as shocked as she is when he comes in the room pointing a gun at her. He thinks he's meeting the mystery person so he's protecting himself."
