Justin Lee Collins Predicts 'Hairy' Host

Justin Lee Collins thinks someone "warm, gay and hairy" will replace him and Alan Carr on 'The Friday Night Project'.

The duo hope the new team to font the show - which they hosted until earlier this year - will do well and they don't believe they have to be like them.

Alan said: "They don't need to get someone hairy from Bristol and a homosexual they just need someone who is warm and looks like they want to be sitting there next to the guests."

Justin quipped: "But if they were warm, gay and hairy then that's all the boxes ticked right there!

"It's all about the chemistry though, the attitude, and I hope that's what they focus on."

Alan, 33, thinks the presenting duo were so popular on the Channel 4 programme because they had such broad appeal.

He added to BANG Showbiz: "We weren't particularly trendy. But what you get from us is a much broader appeal, as we're not knowingly cool, and not making the show exclusively for that 16-24 age bracket. And they're the group who are usually out having a good time on a Friday night anyway."

Justin hopes a pair of lesser known hosts front the show when it returns.

He said: "I just think the obvious. It should be a platform for new faces with new people in it."
