Kevin Webster's Festive Dash

'Coronation Street's' Kevin Webster faces a race against time this Christmas Day when his wife Sally tells him she has breast cancer.

Kevin's mistress Molly Dobbs (Vicky Binns) is due to tell her husband Tyrone (Alan Halsall) that she wants to leave him to run away with Kevin.

Michael Le Vell, the actor who plays Kevin, said: "Kevin knows he's got to get to Molly before she comes clean to Tyrone. It changes everything for him, and he starts to wonder how he can leave Sally.

"This is a life-and-death situation and it brings home to Kevin how much he loves Sally.

"But Molly has a hold over him, and it would be hard to finish their affair. Also, she has the potential to be a bunny boiler, which is really quite worrying for Kevin!"

Michael added: "He had no idea there was anything wrong with Sally, so it comes totally out of the blue."
