Blanche Hunt's voice will be heard during her 'Coronation Street' funeral.
The battleaxe character - who was portrayed by Maggie Jones, who died earlier this year - will speak to her friends and loved-ones in the ITV1 soap one last time, during her Weatherfield funeral scenes.
Discussing the episode, Katherine Kelly - who plays Becky McDonald in the soap - said: "It was created so people can say goodbye to the character.
"The brilliant writers have found a very clever way of getting her voice into the episode."
Katherine and her co-star Antony Cotton (Sean Tully) are currently promoting the show in Canada.
Speaking to Toronto's Star newspaper, Anthony said: "She's irreplaceable and was universally adored by the public and also the cast and crew. She was part of the furniture."
Bill Roache - who plays Blanche's son-in-law Ken Barlow - recently admitted the funeral scenes caused him to grieve for Maggie Jones twice.
He said: "It really got very complex. I have never had a confusion of reality and non-reality before and it was really upsetting for a lot of us."
