Max Branning and Stacey Slater will have their own "two-hander" episode.

Jake Wood - who plays 'EastEnders' womaniser Max - has revealed how bosses on the BBC One show plan to dedicate an entire episode to the two characters, after Stacey (Lacey Turner) admitted to her former lover she had killed soap baddie Archie Mitchell (Larry Lamb) on Friday (19.02.10).

Max told us exclusively that he and Stacey will soon do a 'two hander' episode.

Appearing on 'This Morning' yesterday (23.02.10), the 37-year-old actor told presenter Philip Schofield the storyline will develop further during a special upcoming show.

Philip tweeted: "Max told us exclusively that he and Stacey will soon do a 'two hander' episode."

Stacey made the shock revelation during a live episode of the soap - which was organised in celebration of the show's 25th anniversary - moments after her husband Bradley Branning (Charlie Clements) fell to his death after being pursued by police who thought he was the murderer.

Jake has praised the producers of the show for the smooth-running of the episode.

He said: "By Wednesday we'd done a run-through and it was 34 minutes. I think the most they were given was 32 so there were changes on the Thursday - scenes were changed and chopped around. I think the BBC didn't want it to go over a certain point."
