Ricky Groves Begged For Reconciliation

Ricky Groves begged Hannah Waterman to save their marriage on Sunday (10.01.10).

The former 'EastEnders' actress told Ricky their marriage was over on New Year's day - revealing she had cheated on him - but he still begged for her to give their relationship another go when she phoned to confront him about his story of the split appearing in a newspaper on Sunday.

A friend of Ricky, 41, told The Sun newspaper: "Hannah rang to have it out over Ricky flogging his story. She wasn't best pleased.

"Ricky just ended up sobbing, telling her they could still rescue their marriage and patch up their differences.

"Hannah saw things differently though, telling him it was too late. She hasn't been in love with him for a long time and has moved on."

Hannah had been spotted kissing a mystery man last Friday (08.01.10) - but Ricky said he is not interested in finding out about his estranged wife's indiscretion.

He said: "I don't know who the other man is. I have no idea. I won't play guessing games and I won't ask her who he is because that would destroy me."

Ricky blames Hannah's recent extreme dieting - which has seen her lose 42lbs - for their marriage woes.

He added: "Hannah's get slim crusade changed her mentally and destroyed our marriage."

Michael McIntyre has snubbed the BBC, after they approached him to replace talk show host Jonathan Ross.
