'Hollyoaks' Newt Romance

Barry 'Newt' Newton and Theresa McQueen are set to get together in 'Hollyoaks'.

The unlikely love match between the budding rocker and Theresa (Jorgie Porter) is sparked after she dresses up in a gothic fashion for a bet, making him notice her.

Nico Mirallegro, who plays Newt, said: "Someone dares Theresa to dress like an emo - she puts on lots of black eyeliner and that's when Newt starts to think she's quite hot.

"There's a bit of tension between them throughout the day and when they eventually find themselves alone, they kiss."

At first Newt is unsure about their romance, because he knows his ex girlfriend Lauren still has feelings for him, but their budding love is set to move much quicker than he could expect.

Nico added: "He pretty much can't resist the excitement of being with her, and invites her around to Darren's empty flat.

"They end up snogging again and Newt's actually quite shocked when Teresa wants to take things further. He can't help himself and they head to the bedroom."
