Stephanie Waring believes her character Cindy in 'Hollyoaks' is a "fun bitch".

The 31-year-old actress, who is pregnant with her second child, believes her scheming alter-ego is not as horrible as those in rival soaps.

It's a fabulous story for Cindy. When Paul Marquess, the show's producer told me I was shocked. Of course I can't say what it is but it is funny... well, no not funny, just shocking funny.

She said: "I see Cindy as a 'fun bitch' rather than a nasty one like 'Coronation Street's Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) or 'Hollyoaks' Clare Devine (Gemma Bissix). Cindy has a swagger and delusions of grandeur and I think people love to hate that."

Stephanie's character Cindy, who first appeared in 'Hollyoaks' in 1995 and is one of the show's longest running characters, is set to leave the soap this summer in a dramatic new storyline.

The brunette actress is expected to give birth in the autumn.
