The 'Coronation Street' actress admits she's still coming to terms with the death of her close friend and co-star, who passed away earlier this year after losing her battle with cancer.

She said: "Oh, gosh, I miss everything about her. People used to call us the work sisters because we were just always together and even in private life as well we both used to go to Spain together with our husbands and I truly miss her every single day."

The 58-year-old star, who plays Liz McDonald in the ITV soap, filmed her first scene in the home of Anne's character Deirdre Barlow last week and has confessed she found it much more difficult than she was expecting.

Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on ITV's 'Lorraine', she said: I did my first scene in the Barlow's living room last week and that was the first time since Annie died and we're beginning to sort of talk about Deirdre and my husband said to me, 'How will you feel about this?' And I said, 'I'll be fine because we're not talking about Annie the friend, we're talking about Deirdre', but suddenly I walked into the Barlow's and I was so taken over with emotion and it was really, really difficult to do and I've not found that before."
