The 31-year-old star - who plays builder Jason Grimshaw - was enjoying a weekend away in the Lake District when he reportedly got involved in a booze-fuelled row at the Wheelhouse Club and Lounge in Bowness-on-Windermere, resulting in police being called to the venue at 1.09 am on Sunday (25.10.15).

A source revealed: "He was there with four or five mates but it all kicked off in the loos.

"It took at least ten minutes to get him outside as he was kicking off. Suddenly about five or six police vans turned up. Cops round here don't mess about when someone can't handle their drink.

"Outside it kicked off again. He was put in the back of a van as his mates mouthed off at bouncers. It was a really big scene."

What began as a quiet hiking trip soon turned into a bad hangover for Ryan - who was "acting like the big man" according to witnesses at the pub - as he was taken ten miles to Kendal police station where he spent the night before being ordered to pay a £90 fine for being drunk and disorderly.

A spokesperson for Cumbria Police told The Sun newspaper: "Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly."

Ryan was spotted driving back home to Manchester yesterday (25.10.15) ahead of his daughter Scarlett's seventh birthday today (26.10.15).

Ryan - who split from Scarlett's mum Tina O'Brien in 2009 - previously claimed becoming a father had changed him but confessed things could still get out of hand after a couple of pints.

He said: "Being a dad has given me a sense of responsibility. It's the wake-up call I needed ... Having said that, if you saw me on a night out you might not think that."
