Diane Parish is planning to celebrate 10 years on 'EastEnders' by "quietly" swigging a bottle of booze in her dressing room.

The 46-year-old actress - who is known for playing unlucky-in-love Minute Mart manager Denise Fox in the soap - will hit a decade on the BBC One show in May and, although it's a big milestone, she's not keen on making a big song and dance about it because she's just thrilled she's lasted this long on screen.

Speaking on 'This Morning' today (12.02.16), she said: "I might just do it [celebrate it] quietly, bring a bottle of something in and not tell the boss that I am drinking it in my dressing room. I feel honoured the show has kept me for 10 years and the audience have loved, or not loved, the character.

"You feel more rooted, the show changes constantly, new characters, producers, stories - but the engine is always the same."

Over the course of the 10 years, Diane has been thrown her fair share of gripping storylines and her alter-ego is set to find herself embroiled in another explosive plot this year as her long-lost step-son Jordan Johnson (Joivan Wade), the son of her killer ex-husband Lucas Johnson (Don Gilet), springs back into her life but, this time, he isn't alone.

She explained: "Jordan's got this little boy but his mother was a drug addict, she was someone who went down the wrong path and got into trouble with drug dealers. Jordan is now trying to pay those drug dealers back and is in a huge amount of trouble."
