Michelle Keegan has admitted that she used to feel like an "imposter" when she joined ITV soap Coronation Street, feeling inadequate next to the personalities and castmembers when she first was given her Corrie job.

Speaking to HELLO! magazine she said: "I used to feel like an imposter. I'd listen to others in the 'Corrie' green room talking about their experiences and other acting roles and I'd think to myself, 'I'm going to get found out.'"

Despite now being an established actress, she admits that being invited to glamorous celebrity events with fiancé Mark Wright still leaves her stunned.

"I think, 'Why am I here?' It's so hard to get your head around. I've grown up watching people that I've now met and sat on tables with at events - people like Taylor Swift. I feel so lucky."

However despite mixing in showbiz circles, she insists she's still "normal", adding: "But as soon as it's over, I go home and my life is normal again. Nothing has changed. I still have the same group of friends and go to the same places. These are such pinch-me moments."
