Sheree Murphy hits Ramsay Street

Sheree Murphy, former Emmerdale and Hollyoaks star is now fulfilling a career dream and doing the triple by appearing on Neighbours, with filming for her guest role on the long-running series starting yesterday - Monday June 16.

Considering Australia a second home as she settled in Melbourne with her family from 2011 to 2013, she's excited for the opportunity.

“I just feel like I’m coming home again. To be able to work in Melbourne for such an iconic soap is a real dream come true. Melbourne is a fantastic city with great weather, people and restaurants, what more could you need,” Sheree said.

“I’m really looking forward to taking in Melbourne’s great coffee houses; they’re amazing and catching up with friends for a night out in St Kilda.”

Stepping into the shoes of British businesswoman Dakota Davies, one of the show's male residents will get a shock as she's their former flame who hasn't quite recovered from their break-up.

"Neighbours is a huge part of the Australian culture just like our soaps in the UK," the actress further commented.

Filming at the show's Forest Hill studio, she'll first hit UK screens from October.

Neighbours airs on Channel 5 on weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm.
