DHX Media have today revealed the first-look image of the brand new Teletubbies and Teletubbyland ahead of the show's return to British television screens. Winning multiple awards in its past, the children's series has been reinvented for a modern-day audience and is gearing up to delight a brand new generation of children when it makes its return to CBeebies later this year.

Sticking true to the original, Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po will all come back with the same distinctive features subtly updated to reflect updates in technology. Now, the Teletubbies have 21st century Touch Screen Tummies that broadcast live action films shot from a child's perspective.

Pioneering tech has been used to propel Teletubbies into the 21st century, with Teletubbyland and Home Hill being visually enriched to give a more natural feel and create an intricate, enhanced environment. There's also a new windmill crafted from natural materials and flowers that viewers will see grow throughout the episodes.

Additional voices join the series from top British talent including Fearne Cotton, Jane Horrocks, Daniel Rigby, Antonia Thomas and Jim Broadbent.

To-date, Teletubbies has become one of the most successful international children's brands of all time, reaching more than a billion children worldwide with original episodes airing in more than 120 territories and 45 different languages.
