Ant and Dec won two awards

Ant & Dec won big at last night's television BAFTAs annual event.

The pair took home Best Entertainment Programme and Best Entertainment Performance for the revival of their show Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

Speaking about their latest victories, Dec told BANG Showbiz: "I'm not sure it means more [because it's voted by peers]. It's means something in a different way. People in the industry have realised the effort that goes into the show."

When asked if there's any other awards they'd like to win, they joked: "A BRIT Award."

Broadchurch secured Best Drama Series and the Lead Actress trophy went to Olivia Colman after she won two gongs at last year's ceremony.

Comedy Programme went to Richard Ayoade from The IT Crowd, and co-star Katherine Parkinson took home Best Female Performance in a Comedy Programme.

Julie Walters received the Academy Fellowship award, honoured for her work whilst Cilla Black also gained a special prize for her 50 year+ career in the entertainment industry.

Collecting her accolade, she said: "I've led a charmed life, I really have. I've worked with incredible people. I started in television in black and white. I have to say a very big thank you to Graham Norton and Paul [O'Grady] for looking after me. And thank you to the viewers for making me feel so welcome and for loving my shows over the years. This is for you.. "

Southcliffe's leading man Sean Harris secured Leading Actor, "surprised" with his win for his portrayal of Stephen Morton, whilst Coronation Street beat out the other soaps for the Best Soap & Continuing Drama prize.
