Week four, and things are getting a little controversial in Desserts Week as the bakers go up against each other in a signature, technical and showstopper challenge.

First they're told to make eight individually portioned self-saucing puddings - otherwise known as puddings that give themselves moisture.

Nancy gets ambitious but last week's star baker Luis is a little worried about what he'll be able to present.

Going against the mould, Diana is the only baker mixing all of her ingredients together.

For the technical challenge, instructions are as always minimal as Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood taste blind.

This week it's Mary's Tiramisu Cake that's to be created, and Martha is the only person in the tent to have made the pudding in the past.

Looking for "precision, even layers and finesse", it proves to be a tricky task getting a good rise of the sponge for some, whilst the final products include a lot of messy looking layers.

Then comes the drama, as the showstopper challenge is revealed to be a baked alaska.

"One thing wrong, and it'll be total disaster." Paul's confident, then?

On the hottest day of the summer so far, icecream melts within seconds and positions in the freezer are fought over, so much so that one baker even takes another's out of the freezer and leaves it on the side to melt.

With just 15 minutes remaining, the 'sabotage victim' throws their bake into the bin and storms off out of the tent to let off some steam.

Will their actions cost them their place, or will somebody else be chopped from the cast? We won't spoil it for you, so tune in tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
