London has today seen a 'Bloody Bill Compton' walking the streets especially for Halloween, to mark the Blu-ray & DVD release of True Blood: The Final Season.

Some onlookers seemed confused by exactly what was transpiring, but others took the opportunity to take selfies with 'Bill' who was more than happy to stop for photographs on the scariest date on the calendar.

This comes after True Blood teamed up with NHS Blood and Transplant in a bid to encourage fans and the cast of the show to donate blood this Halloween.

With over 6,000 donations needed every day, there's never enough people who can get behind the cause, visiting blood.co.uk to book themselves an appointment for donation.

One you've registered on the website, you're encouraged to take a selfie and post it on social media with the hashtag #givetrueblood.

Assistant Director at NHS Blood and Transplant Jon Latham said: "We are encouraging all True Blood fans to register as blood donors this Halloween. Blood is something we all expect to be there for us when we need it, yet only 4% of us actually give blood. Many people would not be alive today if it wasn't for the generosity of our donors. Most people who are fit and healthy can give blood, but all donors have to meet certain criteria. So that's vampires out!"

True Blood: The Final Season is out on Blu-ray & DVD 10th November #BloodyBill
