When does it begin?

TOMORROW! Monday, January 5 at 9pm on ITV

Who's returning?

David Tennant, Olivia Colman, Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan, Arthur Darvill and Joe Sims

Who's making their Broadchurch debut?

Charlotte Rampling, Eve Myles, Meera Syal, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and James D'Arcy

What did we learn in the trailer?

Everybody is looking very disheartened. There's a lot of confrontation and searching and what looks like a huge new case has been opened - or perhaps reopened. DI Hardy is in need of help, and girls have disappeared from the town at some point. That's all. We told you they were secretive...

What have the big guys said?

Peter Fincham of ITV has insisted that the second series isn't to be a "formulaic repeat of series one", and the writer Chris Chibnall claims that a second series was always in his mind.

"It wasn't a response to the first series." he says. "When we had the meeting to green-light the first series, I said to Peter Fincham and Laura Mackie: 'If it works, we could do this [second series]' and they smile politely and said: 'Yes, great... in your dreams!'"

He went on to say something else about the story, saying it's a "different type" but "just as compelling and bold".

Any information leaked?

Some pictures of the cast in a graveyard appeared on the internet, which made theorists jump to the conclusion that an exhumed body could be at the middle of the story.

Another rumour says that Beth Latimer is to be heavily pregnant, and her relationship with Reverand Paul Coates could be crucial to the series.
