WWE have announced today (June 22) that the WWE Cruiserweight Classic will premiere on Wednesday, July 13 at 1am BST exclusively on WWE Network.

Throughout 10 weeks, the tournament will air every Wednesday night on the network, ending with a special two-hour live show on Wednesday, September 14.

Hosted by Daniel Bryan and the voice of WWE SmackDown, Mauro Ranallo, the single-elimination tournament will feature some of the best cruiserweight talents from around the world, including Noam Dar, Rich Swann, Johnny Gargano, Cedric Alexander, Tommaso Ciampa and Zack Sabre, Jr.

WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events & Creative, Paul 'Triple H' Levesque comments: "We scoured the globe to find 32 of the best Cruiserweights to compete in this inaugural tournament.

"These performers will be given an unprecedented opportunity to showcase their elite athleticism and unbridled passion across WWE's global platforms."

WWE Network will also be airing an exclusive Cruiserweight Classic special called CWC: Bracketology on Wednesday, July 6 at 1am BST.
